Really neat to hear this story. As I'm about 30 miles north of Binghamton. And my house is approximately 500 yards from the banks of the Chenango.

This story made me wonder if my Grampa ever seen anything strange. He was always out camping, fishing and hunting in the mountains.

These same cryptids snatched my friend's rabbits in 1975, destroying his hutches and leaving a blood trail going back into the same woods about 1 mile from where Doug's encounter happened. I had what I believe were two encounters with it from a distance in those same woods, one in January of 1976 and the other right near my house in March of 1979. It also impaled a deer on a metal fence post in 1980. I know of two other encounters I heard of first hand in those same woods in 1977 and there is a BFRO report from nearby Ft. Belvoir around the same time. I found what I believe was its habitat in two separate areas, one in 1975 and a long abandoned one in 1983. I also found a rather odd bone pile in 1982. Yeah, these things were there alright. When I put all of this together years later it was rather unnerving to me considering all the time I spent in those woods back then.

I grew up on the other side of the woods where Doug had his encounter at the same time in the 1970s (Hayfield Farms). I had an encounter in 1979 (didn't see it but heard its vocalizations behind the tree line), I know of two other encounters one of which was first hand and I saw first hand evidence of these things in the same area. I'll be glad to share the encounters from the time period right in that area if anyone from this channel wants to get in touch, or I can just post them in comments.

Not different types, it's down to the fact that they're individuals! Randomly take 10 people from a city and put them in a line and look at how wildly different they are from one another! Now add to the mix the absolute minimum amount of knowledge that is understood about sasquatch, and then you get ever further away from reality and more and more of unintended creative licence happening! They're hybrids of our genus and archaic hominid ancestors, and the individual characteristics of appearance and behaviours will be almost as numerous as their are individuals in existence at any one time! The ape theorists or those that cannot see past sasquatch's hairy form so instantly class them as an ape are the main reason behind the inability of groups and community at large to do what the mother and daughter managed, the amalgamation of their own separate differing viewpoints and opinions into findings that are corroborative of each other! Evidence clearly shows the ape hypothesis cannot be considered as correct and the sooner this is admitted, the better! It's frustrating to say the least!
